Kids in the (City) Hall

Milwaukee needs to come together for safer streets for all and with your help we are.

Most advocacy meetings are not kid centered but kids are welcome! Kiddical Mass Lobby Day is different!

Over 250 people filled out Street Safety postcards during Bike Week and on Thursday, June 29 at 9:45 AM - 11 AM bike camper, kids and parents will deliver the postcards and the Bike/Walk District Reports to the Alders in City Hall for a Kidical Lobby Day.  We will meet at Red Arrow Park at 9:45 and head to City Hall at 10am to make our postcard and report delivery to each Alder and then enjoy celebratory ice cream cones.

If you have kids, come and join us. If you don’t, fill out a postcard at the Bike Fed office or a virtual one here before Thursday and get involved in all the adult focused advocacy work we do!  Thursday is about empowering kids and reminding our representatives that streets need to serve the needs of our youngest residents as well.

However adults can contact their alders and express support for walking and biking, share thoughts about your aldermanic district report and support the ideas that have been crowd-sourced or share your own. You can find out who your alder is here.

Thanks all!  Together, we can have fun, make a difference, and make Milwaukee a better place where neighbors can walk and bike easily and better know each other.
